Drives & Inverters

Variable Frequency Drives, servo drives, and soft starters that give you precise control over motor speed, torque, and energy use.

Drives and inverters are the bridge between your control system and the motor. A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) takes a fixed-frequency AC supply and outputs a variable-frequency, variable-voltage signal that lets you adjust motor speed continuously โ€” instead of running a pump or fan flat-out and throttling mechanically. Done right, this typically cuts energy consumption by 20โ€“60% on variable-torque loads like centrifugal pumps and HVAC fans.

Servo drives serve a different need: high-bandwidth closed-loop control of position and torque for motion-critical applications โ€” CNC machines, pick-and-place, robotics, packaging lines. Soft starters sit between the two, smoothing inrush current on heavy motors during start-up where you don't need running speed control but want to protect the motor, the supply, and the driven load.

We carry drives across the full power and complexity spectrum: simple micro-drives for fans and pumps, mid-range general-purpose drives for conveyors and machinery, and high-performance servo amplifiers for precision motion. Whether you're swapping a failed drive on an existing line or specifying a new system, send us the motor nameplate and load profile and we'll help size the right unit.

What to consider

  • Power rating (kW / HP) matched to motor and load type
  • Input voltage (single-phase 230 V vs three-phase 415 V / 690 V)
  • Control method โ€” V/Hz for simple loads, vector / closed-loop for high dynamics
  • Communication: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, EtherCAT
  • Enclosure rating (IP20 panel-mount vs IP54/66 wall-mount)
