About this product
The DASG overvoltage protection module protects the ABB ASTAT crane drive from mains surges and from running on a lost or wrong phase.
It combines a capacitive surge arrestor, phase fall-out monitoring (phase sequence and level) and, on the 2xx series, 32 joule varistors between phases. One DASG is selected per crane, per cable system feeding a main contactor. On 690 V systems a DASG 222 or DASG 223 is compulsory, because 690 V thyristor modules do not carry their own internal overvoltage protection.
