All information channels in the ABB ASTAT system run over hard-clad-silica (HCS) fibre-optic cable, so the ready-made duplex cables below are needed on almost every installation and repair.
This family also covers the RS232 service cable used to connect a commissioning PC, the 50 kiloohm star point resistor used for rotor earth fault detection, the cubicle top heat exchanger for hot environments, and the approved inductive limit switch for overspeed monitoring.
