Condition Monitoring

Proximitor probes, vibration monitors and rack-based protection systems for rotating-machinery condition monitoring.

Condition monitoring detects developing mechanical faults โ€” shaft vibration, eccentricity, axial position drift, bearing wear โ€” long before they cause a catastrophic failure. On large rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, large motors and pumps), continuous monitoring is typical and often mandated; the standard architecture uses Bently Nevada 3300 / 3500-series racks fed by proximitor probes and seismic transducers, with the rack providing both visualisation and machine-protection trip logic.

Beyond the proximity probes themselves, the system includes signal conditioners (Proximitors), monitor modules for vibration / position / overspeed, a rack power supply, and a system rack chassis. Each piece is sold as a separate part โ€” replacing a failed module means matching not only the brand and family but the exact rack revision, channel firmware, and probe extension cable length.

We supply Bently Nevada components across the 3300 XL and 3500 product lines, including individual modules, complete monitoring racks, proximitors, and the precision-machined extension cables. If you have a part number from an existing system, send it across and we'll quote the direct equivalent.

What to consider

  • Exact rack series and revision (3300, 3500, 3500/22M, etc.)
  • Channel count and measurement type per module
  • Probe + extension cable length โ€” must match the probe spec
  • Power supply voltage (AC vs DC variants)
  • Whether protection trip logic is required or monitoring only
